Sports and games

At TIPS Salem, students experience extraordinary education, exposure and experience through sport and arts, stepping into programmes where medals and trophies are only the starting point.

From curriculum PE to the after-school Youth Sports and Arts Programme (YSAP), they train, compete and perform across swimming, soccer, basketball, badminton, cricket, athletics, table tennis and chess, building fitness, confidence and the courage to take the lead.

Youth Sports and Arts Programme

The Youth Sports and Arts Programme (YSAP) gives committed student-athletes the chance to train at a more advanced and competitive level. Held after school from Monday to Friday, 4:00 - 5:30pm, it offers specialised coaching that builds strength, skill and game understanding.

Badminton

Students in Grades 4- 12 move fast and think even faster. Young badminton players sharpen footwork, timing and racket skills while challenging each other in singles and doubles, building stamina, reflexes, focus and the confidence to compete point after point.

Badminton

Basketball

Grades 4 - 12 students play fast, think smart and finish strong. Young athletes drill core skills, read the game and make quick decisions in real match situations, building fitness, coordination, confidence and leadership on and off the court.

Basketball

Athletics

Students from Grades 1 - 12 run, jump and throw their way to stronger bodies and minds. Young athletes master movement basics, then chase personal bests in sprints, distance, relays and field events, building endurance, speed, power, resilience and self-belief.

Athletics

Swimming

From Grades 1 - 5, students splash into swimming with playful, safe lessons that build water confidence. In Grades 6 - 8, young swimmers refine strokes, breathing and turns, grow strength and stamina and learn to stay calm, focused and in control in the water.

Swimming

Cricket

Students in Grades 4–12 step up to the crease as thinkers and competitors. Young cricketers practise batting, bowling and fielding in real game situations, build strength, speed and agility and learn to analyse play, stay composed and support their team.

Cricket

Football

From Grade 1, young footballers start with fun games that build balance, coordination and a love of the ball. By Grades 4 - 12, students train strength, skills and tactics, lead teams on the pitch and learn to handle pressure together.
