Ms. Sangeetha, Designated Safeguarding Lead of Salem TIPS KG campus, ensures every child's safety in the school. She makes children feel safe everywhere, addresses concerns frequently, and keeps them happy. She maintains and updates safeguarding records diligently.
Ms. Vaishnavi M, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, collaborates with her DSL, ensures child safety, and escalates concerns. She empathetically addresses children, guiding them to speak up when needed.
Ms. S. Thenmozhi serves as the Health & Safety Coordinator at The Indian Public School, Salem (KG), ensuring a safe, healthy, and secure environment for young learners, staff, and visitors. She is responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies in line with statutory requirements and school guidelines.
Her key duties include planning and conducting safety drills (fire, lockdown, and earthquake), overseeing accident and incident reporting, following up on audit actions, conducting internal termly checks, coordinating Health & Safety Committee activities, and ensuring the safe handling and storage of hazardous substances and tools. Working closely with school leadership and support staff, she promotes a culture of prevention and care, creating a nurturing environment where every child can learn and grow safely.
Ms. Menaka is a dedicated Designated Safeguarding Lead who upholds TIPS and ISP values by prioritising student safety and well-being. She works collaboratively to create a culture of care, trust, and protection, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all.
Ms. Sharley is a committed Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead who supports ISP’s commitment to student safety and protection. She helps maintain a safe environment while promoting students’ well-being and providing emotional support.She also works proactively to identify concerns and ensures appropriate support is provided to safeguard students.Through collaboration, she fosters a caring and trusting atmosphere where every learner feels secure and valued.
I am Poomathi Varadharajan, working at The Indian Public School, Salem, for the past 7 years as a Homeroom Teacher (HRT), and from last year, I have been serving as the Health and Safety Officer. In this role, I ensure the effective implementation of the school’s Health and Safety Policy across the campus by conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments, monitoring safety measures in all areas, organizing fire and evacuation drills, and ensuring emergency preparedness. I investigate incidents, identify root causes, provide first aid when required, make sure it is informed to parents , and document all minor and major incidents in the ISP portal with clear details of the action taken. My responsibility is to maintain a safe, secure, and well-prepared learning environment for the entire school community.
